Largo, Florida - The magical summer theatre camp experience has returned to Largo Cultural Center. For those who are interested in working behind the scenes of a theatrical production, the Largo Cultural Center is introducing a Technical Theater Production Camp this summer.

Largo, Florida -- The wait is over! The brand new Highland Recreation Complex is opening its doors to the public on Sunday, June 2 for its Grand Opening Tour Event.

The new 40,000+ sq. foot. building features a three story indoor playground, an active exergaming room, indoor walking track, double gymnasium, fitness room and party rooms.

Largo Golf Course offers two new golf leagues

Largo, Florida -- The Largo Golf Course is offering a two new golf leagues, a Teen league and Women's league on Tuesday nights at 5:30 p.m.

The format of play for these new leagues will change weekly and include the opportunity to win longest drive and closest to the pin contests.

Both the Teen and Women's league will be $10 walk or ride. The Largo Golf Course is located at 12500 131st St. N. The Teen league is geared toward middle school and high school aged players.

Kids can become part of Largo's free youth football clinic

Largo, Florida - Join the City of Largo's Athletics Department for their FREE annual Youth Football Clinic on Saturday, April 27. From 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., youth ages 7-16 will learn on-field skills and drills along with Largo's Recreation Staff and local youth football coaches.

Largo Athletics Youth Football Clinic will be held at the Largo Sports Complex, 1640 McMullen Rd. Free t-shirts will be given to the first 100 registered participants and a free lunch will be provided for the participants. Registration begins at 9 a.m.

Largo, Florida - Largo Recreation is proud to have two Copperman-Bogue award winning staff members heading up Summer camp programs. Brandon Mai and Jennifer Fawcett have both received the JWB Children's Services Council of Pinellas County Cooperman-Bogue Award. The Cooperman-Bogue Award honors those who go above and beyond the call of their human services job duties to improve the lives of Pinellas County children.

Naturemania camp offers unique summer experience for kids

Largo, Florida -- Does your child enjoy nature, animals and love the outdoors? The City of Largo's McGough Nature Park is offering Naturemania, a unique summer camp jam-packed with nature related activities for children who have completed grades 1-5.

Each week, campers will hike on trails, hear from guest speakers, explore the nature park, head to the swimming pool and make arts and crafts.

Kids stay active, learn at Largo's Rec & Read summer camp

Largo, Florida -- Research has shown that children lose reading skills during the summer months. Get your child on the right track for a healthy mind and body this summer.

The City of Largo's Rec and Read summer camp will focus on literacy (reading, storytelling and writing) and fitness/wellness (sports, swimming, nutrition and cooking) through a variety of fun activities, games, swimming, guest speakers and field trips.
