Monkey found in truck during DUI stop

Largo, Florida -- When police pulled over a man speeding on East Bay Drive Thursday night they no doubt got surprise when they found a monkey in the truck along with him.

According to police, officers pulled over 36-year-old Eugene Carl Kotelman, who was driving 70 mph on the road, just after midnight Thursday morning.

Police discovered Kotelman had been driving on a suspended license and had a lengthy history of DUI charges. He was again arrested for DUI.

Easter Hyundai Bunny spotted

Largo, Florida -- The Easter Hyundai Bunny was spotted in a shopping parking lot off Park St. North Friday afternoon.  Its pink, puffy nose and long, white ears with soft pink centers set it apart from all the regular vehicles in the lot this Easter holiday weekend.

Be on the look out for the shiny blue Easter Hyundai Bunny full of Easter spirit and inspiring smiles as it goes "hopping" near the Pinellas Trail.

Police: Woman rams car in drive-thru lane

LARGO, Florida (AP) - Tampa Bay-area police say a woman angry about the time it was taking to get service in a fast-food restaurant's drive-thru lane rammed another car and then sped away.

Police tell the Tampa Bay Times that 24-year-old Jennifer Lynn Betterly became impatient while the driver in front of her ordered food from a Largo KFC/Taco Bell drive-thru.

Police: Man arrested after baby ingests cocaine

Largo, Florida - A Clearwater man is arrested after a baby in his care ingested cocaine, according to the Largo Police Department.

They say 30-year-old Jason Barrington admitted to being on drugs while caring for the child. The baby was taken to All Children's Hospital and tested positive for cocaine.

No word yet on the child's condition or the relationship between Barrington and the baby.
